About Me

My name is Lucy.  I am the fifth of seven children who were born and happily raised in St. Louis, MO.  After working post college for a few years, I moved to Arlington, VA simply to experience something new.  In the twelve years I spent in Arlington, I met my husband and we had three children.  As the oldest became school-age, we moved to St. Louis, MO to raise our children in a more relaxed and more well-balanced environment.  We had a fourth child in St. Louis in 2016 and are now currently raising a second grade daughter, a kindergarten daughter, a pre-kindergarten son and a 9 month old son.

As for my career, I was a high school athlete who continued to play field hockey in college.  I majored in Education with a Math emphasis.  My goal was to coach high school, so I became a high school math teacher and coach. I have coached field hockey, lacrosse, basketball, and racquetball. I have taught multiple levels of high school math as well as middle school math. Currently, I am in my fifth year as a former teacher (12 years) turned stay-at-home-mom.

In 2017, Little Lucy’s Lane was created with the journey in mind.  My goal with this site is to share my journeys.  I want to share how things were then and how things are now.  My hope is that readers will be able to find a connection and a common voice from one or two or maybe three of my journeys. 🙂
